After months of development and testing, Hangar Network has deployed a mobile-friendly version of its website for easier viewing on smartphones and tablets. Currently being rolled out to selected users, the site will be made available to the general public in the upcoming days. Mobile devices are rapidly overtaking desktops and laptops as the platform of choice for aviators, investors, brokers, and others seeking access to available airport and aviation-related properties while on the go. The adaptive interface optimizes the user experience across all types of devices, bringing the website to a much broader audience and more convenience to those preferring mobile access.

The screenshots above show the top and bottom of the mobile site homepage. The search feature is prominent at the top, as is the 3-line icon for the main menu. Below the search box, Featured properties scroll through the center of the page with Forward and Back arrows to facilitate viewing. Links to the social media sharing sites are near the bottom, and links to the desktop version, contact page, and the phone number always remain visible at the bottom.

The new mobile site is responsive and readily adapts to most devices and browsers currently in use, including iPhones, iPads, Android devices, and tablets. Features on the mobile version mirror those on the standard site: Searching for properties by city, state, or airport code and viewing the results are done directly from the home page. By tapping the main menu icon at the top left of the home screen, other pages and features on the standard site become accessible, as shown in the screenshot below.

As on the standard site, searching properties is free of charge and will remain so. Non-broker users may still post one property at no charge, but that will likely change sometime soon.

To post a property, you must create an account by tapping the Login / Sign Up button, which will bring you to the desktop version. This remains a bit of an inconvenience on mobile devices with smaller displays, however, a future release will incorporate mobile-friendly screens to create accounts and post properties.
